Mission Statement of the Billiard Congress of Wisconsin
Our goal is to be the premier billiards tournament organization in Wisconsin and to gain nationwide recognition. We will promote pocket billiards at all levels and strive to make a positive impact in the minds of players and to the industry. The Billiard Congress of Wisconsin (B.C.W.) is solely devoted to the players, their level of play, and giving them a friendly inviting outlet to showcase their talents in a high quality atmosphere. The B.C.W. pledges to be an inspiration to players of all levels and support all players to enhance their desire to play to the level of their own aspirations.
What is the BCW The Billiard Congress of Wisconsin is the only nine foot table -nine ball tour in Wisconsin. The B.C.W. tour has been a long successful running competition for four decades. We are an organization that conducts twenty four pool tournaments on professional size tables per year between the months of October and April; followed by a State Championship. Each year the State Championship location and date is announced in mid February. In all of the tournaments there are two divisions of competition (Open & Amateur) and they are open to residents in Wisconsin and Illinois. Based upon the players competitive edge they will be commended with media publications, trophies, prizes and cash.
Who We Are The Billiard Congress of Wisconsin is a privately owned organization run by a small group people, all whom dedicate their time on a non-salary basis. Jonathan Demet is the newly appointed President and Director for the 2009/2010 year and Lea Brusha is his assistant and Website Administrator. Both Jonathan and Lea will be producing each and all the tournament events. Jonathan and Lea are always available for questions regarding the organization or tournaments via email. Please see the Contact Page or click here to send a message.
Visions for the Future As newly appointed President & Director, Jonathan Demet has high expectations for the future of the Billiard Congress of Wisconsin. First and foremost Jonathan is striving to bring back the high class reputation that once was held up by past directors in the mid 1990’s. His focus is to gain predominate venue locations and nationally reputable sponsors . By regaining the recognition amongst pool players in Wisconsin, the B.C.W. will be the most prestigious pocket billiards tour with the highest pay outs in the Mid-West.
